The 27 Club Music Art Show.
Victor Pross and Jeannie Priscila drew upon their respective painting strengths to create a series of paintings devoted to the beloved musical icons that make up the so-called “27 Club” – such as Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, etc. – who died tragically at the tender age of 27. The art show offers a synthesis of compatible (but different) styles creating singular works of art of the celebrated musical Legends.
The show features other solo paintings of famed musicians by Victor Pross.

I admit that when I first saw Victor's stuff, I had a bit of an ‘ugh’ reaction to the distortedness of the figures -- though I thought he was skilled technically. But with time the ‘edge’ has kept enticing me back to look again.”

Pross’ portraits are frequently funny and striking in their grotesque exaggeration, but always powerfully able to reintroduce us to that which we take for granted. Pross’ talent leaps from the frame.”

Victor’s caricatures, aside from being clever in their own right, also convey an intelligence and knowledge of his subjects that is sometimes absent in similar sketches.”

Pross is a caricaturist, but that term does not nearly do justice to the art he creates. These are not line drawings of political figures published in a newspaper to poke fun, and then be forgotten the next day. Pross takes caricaturing to another level making powerful—if entertaining and exaggerated—canvasses of famous people.”
Paul J. Henderson, the Times.
