Artist Overview: Victor Pross is a seasoned professional artist and illustrator with extensive experience in caricature, comic art, editorials, fine Art Painting and Murals.








The Artist has contributed to various creative projects, including posters, comic books, CD covers, book covers, gaming boards, single panel cartoon gags and more.
Victor has produced high-quality illustrations for local and international magazines, periodicals, and newspapers and illustrations for various articles.



Notable Work:
As a visual artist, Victor Pross has earned several high-profile commissions, including painting a caricature portrait of actor/director Ron Howard as a 50th birthday gift for the famed director.


An American film production commissioned Victor Pross to paint actor Fred Ward. The art work was used for a movie as a “prop” for a scene, the actor’s character outraged by the depiction. Real Life had a better ending: after the movie was completed, the actor received the original painting as a gift from the studio.

Pross has also painted for notable clients such as agents from the William Morris Agency.


Victor has painted high profile personalities such as actor director Ron Howard and senior economist Walter Block.
In the late 1990s, Victor Pross created “OFFBEAT” a series of irreverent single panel cartoon gags for various magazines.




PROSS has also served as an Art Director and Copywriter creating a series of purposely funny and provocative advertising to much success.




Exhibitions:
Victor’s original paintings and drawings have been featured in gallery exhibitions across Canada in both collaborative and Solo Presentations.
The Feature presentation “Pop Goes the Culture” showcases surrealist caricatures of pop culture figures by Victor Pross, loosely based on the artist’s first book, and a Collaborative Art Show with artist Jeannie Priscila.


Media Appearances:
Victor has rendered numerous international celebrities and Canadian media personalities. He has appeared on television programs such as Canada AM, Breakfast Television, News at Noon, and numerous podcasts. Canadian media has recognized him as “Canada’s foremost caricature artist.“

Public Speaking:
Victor Pross is a public speaker who has spoken on a host of diverse subjects covering philosophy, culture and art, sometimes co-speaking with luminary figures such as Marc Emery and Economist Walter Block.

Publications:

Victor’s first book, Icons & Idols: Pop Goes the Culture, features his artwork and writings, exploring the idea of modern mythology through famous figures such as actors, politicians, writers, and musicians.
The book is an eye-popping scorching visual homage to the famous – and sometimes infamous – in both written text and surrealist caricature art. Overall, this lavish book is educational and funny.



Victor Pross is currently working on a second book, a graphic novel titled City of Knight: The Story of That Man & Robert. Still a work-in-progress, the artist is working diligently on the writing and visual art.
